Subject Description

Science is the study of the natural world through experiments.

The course will cover four main scientific knowledge strands:

  • The Physical World (Physics)
  • The Material World (Chemistry)
  • The Living World (Biology)
  • Planet Earth and Beyond (Earth Science)

This course is intended to give a sound platform for those students who want a good overall Science knowledge and who may be continuing to Level 2 and 3 in Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science or Physics. 

Course costs: Optional Tongariro Crossing Field Trip $30

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
